I noticed my garden pond was frozen and that led me into thinking about the life of fish in freshwater.
Having just sold a picture at a good price I remember photographing a Kingfisher for a very specific commission. I had to manipulate the bird to do exactly what I wanted it to do - and where I wanted it to do it!
Whilst a bird or a mammal thinks it is helping itself, it is actually doing exactly what the plant intended. Nature is full of tricks and little miracles as long as we retain out enthusiasm to enjoy them.

Wherever I am privileged to travel in the world, I usually go with a ‘wish-list’. It is usually an animal or plant that typifies the area in my imagination, or is just something a bit different to anywhere else.
For some reason frogs have captured my imagination on this occasion! They are fascinating creatures and many species are found all over the world. Oh; and they can be easy subjects for photography!
I visited a local nature reserve to do some photography and found myself musing about the differences in ducks! I also remembered an amusing moment in Africa!
